Parliament of Canary Islands discusses the situation in the Rif

The parliament of the autonomous Canary Islands will discuss the situation in the Rif next Wednesday. Two local parties, Nueva Canarias and Podemos Canarias, have submitted a motion to urge the Moroccan regime to release immediately the Riffian political prisoners and respect the human rights in the Rif.

Starting by tomorrow, a part of the Riffian lobby group will travel to Tenerife for a period of five days. Members will try to get a majority for the motion during the voting. Members will try, together with local Riffine activists, to get a majority for the motion.

Ahmed Zafzafi, the father of Nasser Zafzafi, will be present in the Parliament of the Canary Islands and will address its members.

The members of the Riffian lobby group have informed Arif News that they will do their best to get a majority for the motion. “If it does not work, it is not a big deal. The fact that the parliament is discussing the situation in the Rif is in itself a profit for the Riffian case”, according to one of the members of the lobby group.
